    NAOSHIMA<\/span><\/h2><\/div>

    Naoshima<\/h3><\/div>

    Known as an art island, Naoshima is a 15 to 25-minute ferry or passenger boat ride from Uno Port. A day trip from SETOUCHI KEIRIN HOTEL 10 is possible.<\/p>\n

    It is also a central location for the Setouchi Triennale, with many museums including the Chichu Art Museum, making it a globally recognized hub for contemporary art.<\/p>\n

    There are many permanent art exhibits, so you can enjoy a lot of art even outside the festival period. Besides art, there are local diners, cafes, and coffee shops, making it an island where you can enjoy a peaceful trip.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    TESHIMA<\/span><\/h2><\/div>

    Teshima<\/h3><\/div>

    The gateway to Teshima, Ieura Port, is 25 minutes from Uno Port. It’s easy to visit from Uno.<\/p>\n

    The island features lush forests and terraced rice fields, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful nature of Setouchi. Like Naoshima, it is a central location for the Setouchi Triennale.<\/p>\n

    A popular tourist spot is the “Teshima Art Museum.” It’s an island recommended for both art and nature lovers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    SHODOSHIMA<\/span><\/h2><\/div>

    Shodoshima<\/h3><\/div>

    There are three round-trip ferries daily from Uno Port to Tonosho Port on Shodoshima. The ferry ride to Tonosho Port takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

    Known as the “Island of Olives” for successfully cultivating olives in Japan about 110 years ago, it is the second-largest island in the Seto Inland Sea after Awaji Island, with famous tourist spots like Kankakei Gorge and Angel Road. It also has many accommodations, making it an ideal base for art tours to smaller islands.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    OGIJIMA, MEGIJIMA<\/span><\/h2><\/div>

    Ogijima Megijima<\/h3><\/div>

    Megijima, known as Onigashima, and Ogijima with its unique landscape, are popular islands with many attractions. There are no direct ferries from Uno Port, but you can access them via ferry from Takamatsu Port (travel from Uno Port via Naoshima and other islands to Takamatsu Port, then access each island).<\/p>\n

    You can also take a paid sea taxi from Uno to go directly to Megijima and Ogijima.<\/p>\n

    The islands are full of local charm, with Megijima offering art spot tours, camping, and swimming, while Ogijima is great for exploring maze-like alleys and visiting cafes amidst beautiful scenery.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    INUJIMA<\/span><\/h2><\/div>

    Inujima<\/h3><\/div>

    Inujima is the only inhabited island in Okayama City, and the “Inujima Seirensho Art Museum,” a restored copper refinery site that is also a modern industrial heritage landmark, is a popular tourist attraction. It has also been gaining attention as an art island, with projects like the “Art House Project” developed throughout the village.<\/p>\n

    It\u2019s a nature-rich island where you can also enjoy activities like camping, swimming, and sea kayaking.<\/p>\n

    It\u2019s a small island you can walk around in about an hour, but since there are accommodations, you can take your time and enjoy a stay that feels like blending into island life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

    OSHIMA<\/span><\/h2><\/div>

    Oshima<\/h3><\/div>

    Oshima is home to the National Sanatorium for Hansen\u2019s disease, “Oshima Seishoen,” which covers the entire island. For many years, due to social prejudice and discrimination against Hansen\u2019s disease, residents were forcibly isolated under misguided national policies.<\/p>\n

    In recent years, the island has been promoting awareness activities to foster a correct understanding of Hansen\u2019s disease, including through the Setouchi Triennale, with art serving as one of the bridges.<\/p>\n

    By raising awareness of this place and continuing efforts to face the land\u2019s history, it has now become an island visited by thousands of tourists.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    Around Uno Station, within walking distance of Tamano Keirin, there are permanent art exhibits from the Setouchi Triennale scattered throughout the area.<\/p>\n

    Ojigatake<\/h3><\/div>

    Ojigatake, spanning Tamano City and Kurashiki City, is part of the Setonaikai National Park and is a spectacular viewpoint where you can take in the magnificent nature of the Seto Inland Sea.<\/p>\n

    It\u2019s a mountain trail, so casual hiking is possible, and you can even climb it in regular sneakers. The unique landscape of massive and unusual rock formations is a highlight, and the uniquely shaped “Nikoniko Rock” is especially popular as a tourist spot.<\/p>\n

    Paragliding and bouldering are also popular here, so you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    SHIBUKAWA BEACH<\/span><\/h2><\/div>

    Shibukawa Beach<\/h3><\/div>

    With white sand and a deep blue, beautiful sea, this is one of the largest beaches in the prefecture and has been selected as one of the “100 Best Beaches in Japan” and “100 Best Bathing Beaches.” You can also enjoy marine sports like yachting and windsurfing year-round.<\/p>\n

    Nearby are Shibukawa Marine Aquarium, Toy Kingdom, and a golf course, making it a popular spot visited by many tourists as a beach where everyone from kids to adults can have fun. On nice days, cycling along the coast is also recommended.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
